Here I put together a soundscape over a recording of a poem by Wilfred Owen, Anthem For Doomed Youth. The poem was written in 1917 and is based around his firsthand experiences in the war and the horror of it.
I used Adobe Audition to edit all the sound clips together into a final piece.
In order to keep everything organised, I split up the clips into separate layers to make them easier to edit and add effects to.
I also used fades in some clips to remove background noise and allow the flow of the audio to be smoother.

I created this soundtrack on Garageband using a USB keyboard.
For the gunshot clips I also used more than one effect to get the desired sound. While I wasn't really sure what each effect option did, I experimented with a few combinations until I found a suitable noise for a gunshot. I was quite pleased with the end result as the original sound is quite different and quite 'flat' while the final result sounds alike to a gunshot.

I applied REVERB in order to make the audio sound more distant and to allow a 'chorus' effect to be heard.
