American Cinematographer and British Cinematographer are niche magazines published monthly. They focus on the art and craft of cinematography, covering domestic and foreign feature productions, television productions, short films, music videos and commercials. The emphasis is on interviews with cinematographers, but directors and editors are often featured as well. Articles include technical how-to pieces and discussions of techniques and technologies.
Inspired by the success of these magazines The Hong Kong Society of Cinematographers have decided to develop Asian Cinematographer and they have invited young writers to submit features on camera and editing techniques for the potential inclusion in their exciting launch issue.
